Unpacked the suit to begin separating the threads... Threads started to fall on the floor. Put on the pants, tried to pull the drawstring, would not stay tight, but would come loose on its own. More threads fell on the floor. Woodland pattern is not supposed to have whie patches, but this suit had white patches? No way this would last the first heavy use in the woods, crawling or even walking through brush.

Nice, lightweight ghille suit. It shed a little after taking it out of the box but not much. Filled out pretty good but coverage could have been a little better. I'm 6` 6" and weigh 265lbs and the XL/XXL fits me perfect. I ordered in field grass and it blends in nicely in Northern California. Nothing but dry grass and oak trees. The mesh is very breathable so it stays nice and cool even with temps over 80. Taking one star for the rifle wrap and drawstring on the pants. Wrap is good enough to cover a blow gun ... maybe. Draw string gets loose too easy. I`ll have to cut the plastic tightener off and just tie it in a not. Otherwise good deal for hunting quail in the grassy hills around my property. Little suckers will walk within touching distance of me if I stay quiet. Had a turkey stand three or four feet from me. He had no idea I was there!

Ghillie Suite Review

I like it but it has many wholes (empty Spots) on the shirt/jacket that needs to be filled more. As for the overall design, the fabric that the suite is made on is very thin and I will have to be very careful if I plan to drag myself through some field as the first twig that comes into contact with the suite I am afraid that it will snag a whole in the suite and then your done. Great suite but, just be careful as to what you use it for.

As a former Paratrooper, I had a few friends that went to Sniper School, (I scored sharpshooter on the range so I got Armorer School since I had the fastest time blindfolded with dis assembly and reassembly of the M-16).
These guys made their own ghillie suits, and they were excellent suits, because their lives depended on them. I rate this suit right along side with their hand made suits.
Excellent breakup pattern, cant wait to use it Turkey Hunting, Bow Hunting, or any type of hunting for that matter. The rifle wrap is an added plus.

This suit is pretty good quality for what it is. After we aired it outsider for a couple of hours it was ready for deer season and any jokes my husband might be planning. He is a big guy 6'3, 230lbs and the largest size fits over his winter hunting gear very well.

I worked in the Special Operations community for my last 3 years in the Army and I met a lot of guys that were Snipers in Special Forces, Ranger Battalions, and back when I was in the 82nd Airborne Division. This Ghillie Suit will work in a pinch. I even took it out to my Uncle's farm and had him use a set of binoculars to see how close I could get to the house from the wood line and soy bean field and did pretty well. The material that the jacket and pants are made of feels to thin and i'm afraid it will end up tearing or get snagged. My friends that are real deal Army Sniper School graduate qualified Snipers would never use a pre-made suit. They always prefer to make their own. There are a few good books out there that teach you how to make your own Ghillie suit, and how to adapt them to different environments. Most guys use an old set of woodland camo BDU's, Multicam top and bottom, an old flight suit, etc. as the base for the suit and a Boonie cap as the base for the hood. If you make your own be prepared to do a fair amount of sewing!
